TIAS has non-profit status in Germany and Netherlands. The tax number or Umsatzsteuer-Identifikationsnummer in Germany is DE2899014090. As of 7 May 2020, the association is been recognized as Public Benefit Organization (“ANBI”) by the tax authority of the Netherlands. Donations made by members who are residents of the Netherlands can therefore be deducted from income tax, under the usual provisos. The tax number in the Netherlands (“RSIN”) 826211598 when claiming deduction for a donation to TIAS. The validity of the ANBI status can be checked here.
