Analysing Transformative Processes for the Management of the WEF nexus and the Advancement of the SDGs in Sub-Saharan Africa

An invitation to apply is open to candidates with a complementary background and interest in the theme who are based in sub-Saharan Africa or Germany, or carrying out research with a focus on Africa.

The German-African summer school is the culminating event of a partnership between the Institute of Environmental Systems Research at Osnabrück University, the Environmental Learning Research Centre and the Institute for Water Research at Rhodes University, the African Climate and Development Initiative at the University of Cape Town, and Centre for Water Resources Research University of Kwazulu Natal.  It is co-hosted online by The Integrated Assessment Society e.V.

The project partners will share knowledge, approaches and experiences on transformative processes in the context of the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) nexus and sustainable development with a wider audience of young researchers in sub-Saharan Africa and Germany.  More information on the programme and the application process can be found in the summer school brochure.
