A new outlook: the Global Green Growth Institute is developing a new outlook. New Climate Assessment Scenarios: The International Committee on New Integrated Climate Change Assessment Scenarios (ICONICS) has begun a systematic, broad-based effort to develop a new set of scenarios, in order to replace, rather than update, the Shared Socio-Economic Pathways. The initiative is called the Scenario Evolution Process, is meant as a multi-year process and comes with a survey among practitioners and users. https://www.du.edu/scenario-evolution-process
Two new books: Roger Pielke jr. has announced a sequel on the Environmental Information Ecosystem. Conference: International Conference Localised Food Systems takes place 1-4 September 2026 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Call for abstracts IAMC Annual Meeting: The Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium (IAMC) will hold its 19th Annual Meeting on November 17-19, 2026 in Athens, Greece. Abstracts are welcome across 22 thematic topics spanning mitigation strategies, energy systems, land use, climate impacts, equity, and methodological advances in integrated assessment modelling. The submission deadline is 8 May 2026. The event will take place in person, with a portfolio of online events as part of the programme.
